Ready for 2008!!! 5 years are in the books and as we await the release of the new disc (hopefully by the end of March), excitement seems to be reaching the 2003 level. We've got new coaches in Oakland, Portland and Chicago and new locations for 2 of the 4 conference championship teams from '07. The league runner-up New Orleans has packed up and moved to Buffalo after 4 consecutive playoff seasons. The city of New Orleans told them to take their history with them and renamed the franchise "the VooDoo". They also are currently searching for their 4th coach in 4 seasons. The other move involved the Miami Hooters (now the Kansas City Brigade), participants in consecutive Colonial Conference championship games. The Georgia Force finally got over the hump after an early exit in '05 with the #1 seed and a disappointing 6-10 2006 season. He now has his sites set on matching Philly's '04-'05 repeat, but the rest of the league has their sites set on knocking the Force off their perch. Should be an interesting off-season. Congrats again to Vince and Marlowe and welcome to the league Frank, Marvin and Dean. |
